Future of SAP HCM

The SAP HCM is one of the most important processes in organizations and slowly all the business houses big or small implemented it. The general idea on HR is related only

to recruiting but this module is much more than that. It not only helps in recruiting of the employees but segregates them based on various factors such as department level, designation, payment days, deductions, promotions, employee engagements and team motivation etc everything is taken care by this module. To store such a huge amount of information that too for the whole organization is not at all an easy task and SAP HCM module is one such flexible and user-friendly module that helps the organizations to do so.

Three things are now becoming very important when we talk about the road map of SAP which is Cloud, HANA and the experience of user. In the coming years cloud is going to be one of the biggest areas where business is growing and in the case of HCM space, SAP has its own acquired product which is “Success Factor” and is adopted well in the global market as well, it is now one of the most popular cloud based HCM solution in the market. But it does not mean that the customers who are using SAP HCM and have stable solutions in SAP ECC will need to migrate cloud based Success Factor but on the contrary they need to adopt some components of Success Factors while payroll and time will be managed by SAP ECC and thus this hybrid concept is the going to be the new dimension in the next few years.

Another thing that the SAP has first introduced is HANA as a database for analytical solutions. Last year SAP has added S4 HANA which is the biggest revolution after R3. One of the biggest advantage of S$ is that it can be used on cloud or on-premise and thus provide great advantage to the customers whether they decide to move to cloud in future without scrapping the solutions or vice versa.

SAP is continuously working on the better user experience and thus to the users the SAP screens and process are very complex  and thus needs a lot of training and expertise for the end users for their better understanding. The solution to this is two new SAP products SAP Screen Persona and SAP Fiori. SAP Screen Persona delivers a new personalization option for modifying SAP GUI screens for better understanding and visualization for end users. Sap Fiori on the other hand is not a technology but a new guideline or principal to develop application and is based on five guidelines simple, coherent, role-based, responsive and delightful and these new principles are applied to all new Fiori apps.

Undoubtedly SAP HCM has a bright future and there is a continuous demand for SAP HCM consultants but the above said technologies and knowledge about them is an added advantage.
